We are excited to let you in on something a little different that SAADP has been working on – the SAADP ChatBytes Podcast. It has been developing quietly in the background for a while, and it now appears to be taking shape in a way that may offer real value to our community. The concept itself is not complicated – give alumni, current students, and leaders in the actuarial space a relaxed platform to talk about their journeys. The kind of interest we’ve received from the actuarial community suggests that ChatBytes may grow into something far bigger than we initially envisioned.
The official launch is actually scheduled for later in February 2026, but a lot has already happened behind the scenes. A few episodes have been recorded and you can expect stories that feel honest and surprisingly relatable. Stories that don’t just cover big achievements, but also touch on the quieter parts of the journey – moments of uncertainty, unexpected wins, even a bit of humour that surfaces when the Alumni talk about how they have navigated such a demanding field.
We hope the ChatBytes will become a gentle assurance for young people who are still trying to figure out whether actuarial science is the right path for them. The ChatByte Podcasts seem like they will provide a reflective space for our alumni, a space to reflect on the journeys they have taken and the insights they have gathered. Each episode focuses on a different voice, which seems valuable given the current focus on transformation within the profession.
