SAADP extends the deadline for Actuarial Science Bursary applications

Due to the Covid-19 impact on the schools’ schedule, the deadline for 2022 bursary applications has been extended until further notice. This is to allow sufficient time for interested Grade 12  to apply without panicking. Applicants who could not write their 2021 June exams must submit their first-term and third-term results to support their applications. Grade 11 final results must still be submitted together with the recently certified South African ID.

Current Actuarial Science students in their 2nd and 3rd years of study may still apply for the 2022 academic year. Applications are also open for students who are planning to transfer from non-participating universities to participating universities (Wits, UCT, and UP). However, they must have applied and been accepted to study Actuarial Science at one of the participating universities.

The submission of an application to SAADP is not a guarantee of bursary award. All applications go through a stringent selection process. The award of bursaries is highly dependent on the availability of funds. Applicants are therefore encouraged to apply to other potential funders. SAADP reserves the right not to award bursaries.
