Unlocking potential for greatness.

SAADP continues to grow the number of Black Actuaries in South Africa

SAADP has an exciting new milestone to celebrate — a record high qualifiers rate.

The data released by the Actuarial Society of South Africa – ASSA, reveals that the number of black qualified Fellows supported by SAADP has grown by 14.4% in the past exam sitting – bringing the number to 119. This marks the highest qualifiers rate the Programme has earned in recent years.

“The latest qualifiers rate compels one to reflect on our vision statement: To champion diversity and promote equitable access to the South African Actuarial Profession and build a thriving and future-ready professional community. These results show that we are progressing in getting our students ready to tackle the challenges needed to navigate the tough actuarial path and smoothly move into their future endeavours.” said Executive Director, Mr. Nthato Selebi.

This qualifiers rate is a result of the foundational work put in by our Programme Managers at undergraduate level to prepare our students at universities where we operate. It also illustrates the ongoing dedication, hard work, and determination of our alumni post-graduation. Simply put, our work remains challenging. However, at the end of the day, Team SAADP does not give in to pressure.  We remain continuously resilient to provide the best educational experience possible to our students.
