Apply For SAADP Bursary

Young individuals who fulfill these general eligibility requirements are invited to submit applications for SAADP assistance.

The Requirements

They are South Africans
They are Black or Coloured
They are now in Grade 12 and show potential to achieve at least 80% (level 7) in Mathematics, English, and Physical Sciences*
They have applied (or are considering applying) for an Actuarial Science degree in one of the ASSA-accredited universities that offer SAADP support.
They have written (or have registered for) the National Benchmark Test (NBT)**
They are currently in their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of their Actuarial Science studies.
They come from a financially needy family background.

Presently, participating universities are Wits, UCT, and UP. Students from non-partner universities may also apply, but they must have applied and been accepted to study Actuarial Science at partner universities.

This funding opportunity is only open to students who want to study Actuarial Science or related degrees.

An active email address to which we will send communication about your application. Please check your mailbox regularly.
An active cell phone number on which you are reachable.
Show potential to succeed academically in college
Possess a strong passion and keen interest in pursuing Actuarial Science as a profession

General application information

SAADP applications open on 02 January of the year preceding the year of study and close on 31 August of the same year.
Applications are currently open to Black and Coloured South African Matric learners applying for 1st year of study at any partner university (currently Wits, UCT, or UP).

Submit your fully completed application form with supporting documents to applications@saadp.co.za
Alternatively, you can call 011 642 2202 or send an email to applications@saadp.co.za to request an application form.
Applicants must complete and submit only one application.
Remember to attach supporting documents when applying.
Outstanding supporting documents can be sent by email to applications@saadp.co.za even after the closing date. These are the documents you may not yet have at the time of applying. However, you should have submitted your application before or on the closing date.
Incomplete and late applications will not be considered.
Send your Statement of Results to applications@saadp.co.za as soon as you receive it.
